Too Soon?
Some have said recently - that people are criticizing the president too soon and it's unfair so early in his presidency. I thought about that because I remember that happening to another president from the other party and thinking that same thing.
One person said to me that the government HAS to take over since it obviously didn't work before when the banks were taking care of their own business. Since I had already mentioned that Barney Frank - and others - (= government) were supposed to be watch dogs on that fiasco and instead B.F. was lining his pockets with $ from the very ones he was supposed to keep an eye on - I figured it wasn't worth spelling it out again. The government wasn't doing it's job but the response is to let it take over the whole thing?!
Why criticize so soon?
For:
1. Pushing an unbelievably massive "recovery" bill without letting legislators even have time to read it.
2. Allowing it to be stuffed with pork (80+ % pork) at a time when we should be tightening belts.
3. Pushing a senseless climate control bill and at a time when we can't afford to be raising our individual household energy costs for something we can't control...(and likely don't need to!)
4. Pushing an expensive "healthcare" bill when the EU nations are trying to scrap theirs for the multiple problems they have encountered. (+We're already spending more than they are on healthcare)
In Canada government pays for transgender operations - but for a life saving surgery - since candidates are put on a list - if the list is longer than the number of those surgeries allowed per year - that's just tough. The government must stay within their budget. Isn't there some irony there? They can spend money to make a man look like a woman but if too many people need a certain life saving surgery .......no? And - Canadians are NOT ALLOWED to pay for it themselves in order to get it in Canada.... so they have to come here.
My point is - No - it's not too soon to criticize what the president is doing.
