Vacation Is Over

Andrew and Ronda were here this weekend for a wedding. It was good seeing them again. After they left for the wedding a call came from Judy that Grandma Pick was taken to the hospital due to congestive heart failure. I guess she is doing better but they expect that it may continue happening. Leon tried talking to her on the phone but she didn't have her hearing aides and couldn't hear him. A one day trip up there is planned for next Saturday. Hopefully, someone will be able to get her hearing aides so that he can talk to her on the phone before then.

We didn't do much for this vacation but on Leon's birthday we went to the Dells for the day. We walked around main street and started back again after a couple of hours. Our stamina has diminished but it was nice getting out. Maybe we will try it again and take a boat trip. I remember that as being relaxing.

We just saw a report on weather.com about a park in Denver that has a place with coal on the ground that they found out was 800 degrees! They discovered that after a boy had his feet burned when he walked on it and ended up in the hospital with 2nd degree burns on his feet. It looked like just a small pile of black dirt by the picture on the report.
